busy busy busy bee!

Okay Okay, so I have neglected my blog for a good few weeks, (boohoo) but this week I have decided to quickly draw up a list of some of the things I have been getting up to lately!

1) PGCE application - this took me forever!! but yes its finally in!
2) QTS tests are booked! - its becoming more and more difficult these days to get into teaching! I now have been revising my numeracy and mathematics! and to pass these I have to complete and pass a mental mathematics arithmetic test! this is my biggest worry, I hate mental maths with a passion! so iv been revising every aspect of maths; times tables, times, money, percentages, fractions, decimals, scale, angles ect ect!! if I pass these and pass my interview I would all be sorted for September 2014! and a good step into my career of primary education! I cannot wait to the day I have my own class!!:)
3)Camp America application sent, first deposit paid!! yes, I cant imagine the excitement of going to spend time in the states, doing what I love! eeeeek! not only will I be challenged, I  will also get further career experience with working with young children! so exciting! plus I have just been reading and planning different parts for the travelling bit after my other half will come and meet me and me and him will do the last few weeks together!! I WANT TO HAVE A THEATRICAL DANCE LESSON IN NEW YORK CITY!  aha will be amazing and so worth it!! hopefully I get placed! if I don't get placed me and the other half will be saving and planning other ideas but in America! I think its almost certain now that we will be going!
4)my theory test!- yes I passed it:) and I have booked my driving test for feb! I will not fail aha, although lately it seems that I have had test after test after test!
5) CHRISTMAS- this month includes
winter wonderland; oxford street shopping; Bicester village!; West End Theatre Trip! nativity plays; few days in Birmingham; visiting boyfriends family; Christmas dinner at home with my family! ; planning new year.... THE LIST GOES ON! This list doesn't even include work!; I have been more then busy lately!!

50 Random Facts About Me!

Okay so this is going to be such a pointless little blog post but I always enjoy reading other peoples versions of this so I thought I would do one myself! Enjoy,

50) I like tea, but I only drink half a cup because I am scared of tea leaves or the tea bag splitting and there will be disgusting remains of a tea bag at the bottom, this fear has been with me since I was 5! So make me a tea but I will only drink like 4 mouthfuls.

49) I have a huge family! Its great at Christmas but not so good waiting for the bathroom in the mornings, my sister takes forever!!

48) I am planning a road trip around America! It is going to be so fun! I cant wait to put the dream,and plans into action!

47) When me and my other half move out together (in the next 2 years) I will be decorating our home! The plan is so clear in my head, Zara home, The White Company and a few Jo Malone candles!

46) I am in training to be a primary school teacher! A career I knew I would have since the age of 6!

45) I always get asked "what race are you" or "are you mixed race" No is the answer I am full English I just have dark skin and really curly hair aha yes mixed race features which does not help my argument when people ask me!

44) I spend way to long painting my nails, and pampering myself (Typical Women).

43) Performing Arts is my thing, Dancing and Acting if only i could sing it would be the whole package! In fact, Sylvia young and Italia Conti were my dream schools but it were just too expensive to send me there! Boohoo!

42) I am extremely confident and very chatty! In fact i never actually shut up aha!

41) I am well educated, intelligence is the key to success and is the new sexy

40) I prefer summer laying half naked in somewhere exotic, although I like winter wonderland,sipping on hot chocolate in my winter attire!

39) I love City Life and much prefer it to a country home!

38) I am not good at geography or math, when i am a teacher it will be banned ( oh if only)

37) I take soaps way to seriously! (Just eastenders actually)

36) I am very fun to be around, there is never a dull moment! I have always got the giggles too ahaha!

35) I hate walking in the dark on my own! Its a no go, too many people look like there going to stab me! ahaha, pick me up or I am not coming out, simple!

36)  I was going to be called Chantelle or Rebecca! but I was named Helen after a primary school!

35) '6' is my lucky number! and I find odd numbers so boring!

34) I don't like boring people and 'boring' people most probably won't like me!

30) Spiders scare me a little! Although I will never kill one, that's too cruel! I just scream until someone comes to my rescue!

29) I have my belly button pierced but no tattoos.

28) Me and my other half have been together 4 years and 2 days and 4 hours (not counting at all) I love him-My Soul Mate!.

27) I hate 'periods' I become like a child, constantly asking how it is possible to even bleed so much without dying! yes i am a hypochondriac

26) I choked on a stress-ball once when I was 8! funny story we were trying to make it in a boob shape by sucking the end, and then giggling so hard it hurt,(How innocent)  but the 6th time I did it all the powder came out and I couldn't breath my face was purple and the ambulance was called! oooops! (don't make boob shapes with stress-balls!, I repeat I was 8).

25) I love sport and fitness! you will find me at the gym because I want too be there not because I have to be there!

24) My last dream was when I cheated on my boyfriend with Aston from JLS!

23) I cant eat spicy food! I even have my nandos lemon and herb!

22) I take too many pictures! Very snap happy!

21) I get annoyed when people say they have curly hair when I know there hair is dead straight but curled everyday with GHDS, - (this is not having curly hair, I repeat this is not having curly hair).

20) When I was 6 I pretended I had a younger sister called Jasmin, everyone believed me when my friends came round they asked me where Jasmin was, I carried on pretending until someone asked my mum in the school playground, when my mum told the truth I cried the whole walk home! - ( I was only 6, this was the last and only lie I have ever told)

19) I love to Cuddle! Makes me feel safe, relaxed and at peace!

18) I want to become a property developer! In fact i want to be a teacher but own multiple houses that I have done up and rented out! - Dream Career

17) I am 22, but look younger! Smiling is the key to looking fresh faced!

Friday Night,Movie Night and Propercorn!

What I have come to realise, is that family are with you in each aspect of life! They see you take your first steps, first words, start school, ship you to university through all the tears, see you progress in your career, get married and the list goes on! these big milestones your family are always there congratulating you and offering you constructive advice for you to take on board so you don't make silly mistakes the same way they did! there other job is for them to embarrass you dramatically at every given opportunity it is like they get full satisfaction from you turning the colour of the beetroot being served at tea! totally not funny but as there family you just let them off! The bond I have between my siblings is unbreakable and I always love to spend time with them! as I have grown older, there many things I want to do and sometimes get told constantly 'Helen stop being so busy'! by my 8 year old sister! its all about finding a balance between working life and career. my boyfriend, my hobbies and other doings, and to make time for people who I love unconditionally my family! so in my household we hold family nights! at the end of each week we decide what evening we could be free to make time for one another! this weeks is Friday! although now its Friday night I am thinking I wish I picked another night because the thought of wine and dinning in a VIP lounge in central London can be slightly more appealing but no tonight is movie night, one thing we need is POPCORN and lots of it!

Keeping Warm, Staying Glam

As winter finally approaches, my second wardrobe comes back out! Thick coats,gloves and scarves and chunky knits! very different from the shorts and pastel colours I have been wearing the last few months! summer is officially over! After reading Vogue I decided that I needed some new clothes to match up with this seasons look. It is vital that winter can be glamorous too, so I compelled together a few must haves to help me complete my shopping trip.

So after a few long chats with the other half, together we have decided that travelling america is something we are both desperate to do! It is important that you travel parts of the world each year! I tend to save all my pennies, wages, birthday money Christmas money and save it all for jet setting! In the past years i have had some amazing experiences and holidays across Europe, and thousands of photographs for me to dig out at a later stage if I want to relive the memories! Travelling america is something I cannot wait to do with my other half! we would of saved to go for 4 weeks, as we still have work, university and other responsibilities in the UK that prevent us from going longer! but i know i will make the most of the 4 weeks, and explore every nook and cranny in the places we visit! It has become so exciting looking over the last few days and how we could make this dream a reality!

Happy Birthday and Fancy Cupcakes

Last nights celebrations which included Chinese food, movies and a good old gossip with my best friend! We chatted hours about how things in life are quickly changing for us! How life's dramatically moving fast on by!  We spent at least 4 hours laughing about old mutual friends and 'do you remember when' and before we knew it was almost midnight! It is always good to look back on things so fun memories can stay alive! after a good 5 hours sleep my birthday approached and my phone did not stop vibrating! HAPPY BIRTHDAY HELEN CANT BELIEVE YOUR 22! was the standard message I received.

Birthday events!

1) Wake up early by the sound of happy birthday playing from the stereo! (yes we have a birthday CD which my mum bought when I was 5 it's still being used every year!)

2) Open presents! different kinds of wrapping paper, multicoloured bows and red balloons

3) went out for breakfast! could not choose between pancakes or a full breakfast (I went for the pancakes in the end!) #foodporn

4) Birthday cake, candles and  fancy cupcakes!

5) Family meal that consists on one or 2 starters and a fulfilling main!

6) An evening that is filled with pampering the body, and painted nails

I love having the full day devoted to myself, that is not me being self centred but I love birthdays and believe that it is an excuse to hold some lavish celebrations! As early evening approaches running a bath and simple winding down for today's excitement does not sound more fulfilling!

Time of Celebrations

As my birthday is closely approaching I thought I cannot turn 22 without a celebration. I knew I wanted to get my girls together however had no idea of what I wanted my birthday night to include! after a few text messages and exchanged phone calls the plan was created,

 

1) Some of my girls!

2) A huge Mexican, there is nothing better then nachos with salsa dip to start!

3) some mints or a tooth brush! (you cannot start the evening off well with a breath smelling of Mexican food! its a simple NO.

4) Cocktails and red wine! they should really name Coctails less embarrassing to order! yes I simple would like a 'woo woo, but no I don't want to sound like a train as I order!

5) lets change into our heels and hit the club!

 

what I have realised as I have grown older, whenever i hit the clubs I have the sheer urgency to people watch! I love to people watch but i find myself shivering with fear, anger disgust or laughter! in the events of last night I saw someone wearing what I wear to bed! yes an over sized tee! I also saw the majority of the club wearing cinema glasses and then you get the percentage of girls wearing trainers! what happened to spending hours getting ready, buying a cheeky new outfit and a pair of heels! the greatest thing about the club was the music and the company I had with me! although through half the night we had a male dancer attached to the side of us who crossed the line of gay or straight and was in between a stripper and a Louis Spence! kept us all highly amused.

 

It didn't half feel good slipping out of heels at the end of the night and into my sheep slipper socks! (Yes I have sheep slipper socks), who doesn't ay?
